I was lucky to see Turbo at a preview today, and had a great time. I don't want to give anything away, but suffice to say that I greatly enjoyed the movie. The plot's cute, the characters amusing, and there are some hilarious one liners. (As well as a few somewhat more risqué jokes for the adults, although they'll fly over most kids' heads.)

It's not going to rival Pixar at their best, but it's a lot of fun. I will say, though, that this isn't a film I'd bother with 3D for. It takes a back seat, and is little more than a gimmick. You won't be missing anything at all to watch in 2D.

"Girl Most Likely" is one of the best comedies I've seen in years. In the spirit of "Crossing Delancey," the film tells the story of a single woman who has turned her back on her nearby humble roots for the Manhattan literary scene. But instead of the Lower East Side and a traditional Jewish upbringing, it's Ocean City, New Jersey and a dysfunctional Jersey-shore family that our heroine, Imogene (Kristen Wiig), thinks she's left behind. And whereas both films are romantic comedies, the emphasis in "Delancey" is romance and the emphasis in "Girl" is on comedy.

Unlike many recent comedies, such as "Bridesmaids" and "The Hangover," "Girl" doesn't turn to gross-out humor for its laughs, but generates them from character, dialogue, timing and visuals that are so cleverly thought-out that Wiig's mom's (Annettte Bening) Ocean City house becomes yet another outlandish character at which we are invited to laugh.

Matt Dillon gives his best comedic performance since "There's Something About Mary," Christopher Fitzgerald gives a sweet, memorable performance as Imogene's brother, Ralph, and Darren Criss does a star turn as boy-band singer covering the Back Street Boys in one of the shore's more pathetic lounges.

Saw this last night at the USA Film Festival in Dallas. Wasn't aware of the director's background until she was introduced before the viewing. But she is impressive! The PSA encouraging women to get their annual mammogram is really funny as is the movie. The whole theater laughed and actually cheered during the basketball game sequences. My husband had to shush me when I kept cheering the great shots made by the Hot Flashes. These five women put in lots of hard work to become so proficient on the court, although there was probably a lot of footage left on the editing room floor. If it were not for a brief "sex" scene and the hilarious off color jokes, I would love to take my 11 year old granddaughter to see this to encourage her budding career!

I just finished watching 'Killing Season' and have to say I enjoyed.

Travolta and DeNiro both did a great job with their characters.

I've seen derisive comments about Travolta's accent but in my opinion they are unfounded.

The film had a nice feel to it along with an interesting story about how people deal with the emotional scars left from war.

Using the Serb/Bosnian conflict was a nice touch as it was one of the worst stains on humanity in the past 25 years.

The setting and cinematography were beautiful.

It was worth the time spent viewing.

I would certainly be disappointed if this movie doesn't get nominated for the best foreign language film in the academy awards. Farhan Akhtar is like the epitome of dedication towards Milkha Singh's character. He was running like a pro. Cinematography was just amazing. Many shots were just breathtaking. Direction was just perfect and the casting was sensibly done. Parallel storytelling kept the movie balanced between Milkha Singh's life and his sports career. The trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy did their job as always.

But one of all, Farhan Akhtar rocked. He has always given his best in every field he has ever stepped in to. Respect for Farhan Akhtar, respect for Milkha Singh, the true hero.

If not for Johnny Depp, this big-budget revisionist interpretation of the classic 'Lone Ranger' character would probably never have happened. Sure, the baby-boomer generation of the 1950s might remember the popular TV show in which Clayton Moore was the titular character, but there is scarcely any trace left of the masked ex-Texas Ranger in popular culture half a century later. That reality isn't lost on Depp nor his 'Pirates of the Caribbean' director Gore Verbinski; rather than keep to the spirit of previous incarnations, their reboot essentially applies the sensibilities of their previous franchise-spawning 'Pirates' venture to the story of two outlaws in the Wild West.

Notwithstanding the title, it is the Lone Ranger's sidekick Tonto who takes centre-stage here. His trademark eccentricity in glorious display, Depp's Tonto has a face painted white with four vertical black streaks and most distinctively, a dead crow perched atop his forehead which he obsessively feeds. Suffice to say that this is not the Tonto that Jay Silverheels used to play in the TV series; instead, this is a distinctively Depp creation, one that immediately recalls his Jack Sparrow kookiness but is yet more grounded and complex and in our opinion his most intriguing character part yet.
